KMC Classes

Three programmes.
One system.

From age 5 to adult, every KMC student trains the same Krav Maga curriculum, scaled to age and ability. Same instructor. Same standards. Different intensity.

What to bring

Loose comfortable clothing, indoor trainers, water bottle. No kit needed for the first session.

Class size

Defence against larger attackers, verbal de-escalation, real-world scenarios, ground-up basics, awareness in public spaces.

What to bring

Loose clothing, indoor trainers, water. Mouth guard recommended after first month.

Pace

Faster and more contact than juniors, with proper safety briefings. Light contact only — controlled and supervised.

04 / Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need to be fit?

No. The first session is about learning, not surviving. We have students from 16 to 65, of every fitness level. You'll get fitter through training — that's the point.

Will I get hurt?

Bruises happen. Serious injuries are rare. We brief safety at the start of every session, and contact builds gradually. You always control your own intensity.

Is this suitable for women?

Yes — and especially yes. Krav Maga was built around the assumption of a smaller, weaker defender. Around 30% of our adult students are women.

My child is anxious — will the kids' class be too much?

Talk to us first. We've taught children with anxiety, ADHD, autism and SEN backgrounds. The structure of Krav Maga can be hugely beneficial, but we'll be honest if we don't think it's the right fit.

What if I miss a few weeks?

Drop in when you can. There's no contract — just a low monthly membership. Pause anytime, restart anytime.

Can I just try one class?

Adults: we run a 2-class trial for £19.99 — enough to feel the system, not just dip a toe. Kids (5+): your first session is free. The Saturday 11am–noon slot at YMCA Thornton is open to all ages 5+. No pressure, no follow-up calls.
