01 / Why parents choose KMC

Skills for life,
not just the mat.

Parents rarely enrol their child purely to learn to fight. They come to us because their child is shy, or being picked on, or struggles to focus, or they simply want them to be safer and more confident. Krav Maga delivers on all of it.

Our junior classes are built around structured games and drills that quietly teach coordination, listening, boundaries and stranger awareness. There's no fear-based teaching and no glorifying violence — children learn what to do, how to stay calm, and how to ask for help. The result is a quiet confidence that shows up at school, in sport and at home.

Classes are capped and supervised, instructors are DBS-checked, and every session opens with a safety brief. We've worked with children across the full range — including those with anxiety, ADHD, autism and SEN — and we'll always be honest with you about fit.

04 / Parents ask

Before you
bring them along.

What age can my child start?

From age 5 in juniors (5–11), then teens from 12. The first session is free, so you can see how they get on with no commitment.

Is it safe?

Yes. Junior classes are games-and-drills led, light on contact, capped in size with at least one assistant, and DBS-checked instructors. Every session starts with a safety brief.

Will it help with bullying and confidence?

It's the number one reason parents enrol. Children learn awareness, boundaries and how to carry themselves — which often stops problems before they start.

My child is anxious or has additional needs — is it right for them?

Often yes — the structure can be hugely beneficial. We've taught children with anxiety, ADHD, autism and SEN. Have a chat with us first →
